The Women’s Center at Moore’s Creek- Region Ten

Region Ten selected Martin Horn to construct this 10,000 SF residential building for women seeking treatment from substance abuse. The center consists of office space for staff and residential space for women. Residential areas including bedrooms, a kitchen, and a large living room. The Women’s Center also includes a nursery so women seeking treatment are able to bring two of their young children to reside with them during their stay.

Site work for this project presented some initial challenges. The plans for the building showed it sitting near an old creek bed, which was a fill site for blasting rock. Martin Horn wasted no time coordinating experienced subcontractors to assist with the site work challenges. The team at Martin Horn was happy to be able to work on a project that helps women in need.
