As federal judges review life and death legal briefs and prisoners come and go, Javier Luevano and Mike Marks teamed up to totally renovate 80,000 sq. ft. of space at the Federal Building. The work started as a $2.5 million package, and grew into $3.5 million project due to additions in scope, including new lighting, HVAC and a new sprinkler system, as well as structural changes and a new holding cell for prisoners. Javier and Mike worked closely with U.S. marshals to ensure the post 9/11 day-to-day security of the building. The Martin Horn team scheduled and coordinated our work with the GSA, IRS, U.S. marshals, the U.S. Attorney, 2 federal judges, and federal probation officers. Martin Horn systems for keeping everyone up-to-date made their challenging project a success.
