Charlottesville Downtown Mall Office Building at 321 E. Main Street

This project was a façade renovation consisting of demolition of the existing façade to allow for the installation of the new structural steel, four-story curtain wall, precast surround and miscellaneous masonry. Challenges included winter weather conditions, maintaining the building above freezing while under construction, access, pedestrian safety, overhead utilities, and concealed masonry conditions. During the course of construction, the client asked us to renovate the lobbies and white box the two retail spaces as well as some miscellaneous interior alternations.
