Immediately following Martin Horn’s selection to provide preconstruction services for the new home of Portico Church, we carefully studied the schematic design drawing set that was in progress. Working shoulder-to-shoulder with the team at BRW Architects and their consultants, Martin Horn, made multiple recommendations regarding alternate grading and utility strategies, building system composition, MEP systems composition, and material and equipment substitutions.

Collectively, the total combined reductions in direct project costs being implemented on the project resulted in close to $1,000,000 (over 10%) of the project’s construction cost. Martin Horn’s experience and ingenuity, carefully applied during preconstruction, together with the design team, pay big dividends.
