UVA Child Development Center

The University’s Child Development Center was the first privately operated childcare center built on a college campus in the country. It was also one of the first Design-build projects for the University, and Martin Horn teamed with dBF Associates. The 7,400 SF building is comprised of three connected areas so children can move from space to space as they grow.

Children’s privacy and security was of utmost concern during the design process. Martin Horn was very concerned with providing a safe drop-off for children as well as safe play areas.
