UVA Darden Whisnand Terrace & Wilkinson Court Wall

UVA Whisnand Terrace is located at the north end of the first‑floor of Saunders Hall. It overlooks Wilkinson Court with stairs leading down from the terrace to the courtyard. The terrace forms the roof for the ground level of Saunders Hall. The project was initiated due to water infiltration and moisture damage caused by several deficiencies. Work consisted of complete removal and replacement of mortar set brick pavers, donor bricks, drains, and existing waterproofing at Whisnand Terrace as well as the stairs and landings leading down to Wilkinson Court. Additionally, complete removal and replacement of the brick veneer was done at the wall between Whisnand Terrace and Wilkinson Court and extends from the Darden Library to the Abbott Center.
