With the help of Altenergy, we installed a grid-tied solar photovoltaic alternative energy system on the roof of our office headquarters. This 82-panel system provides power to charge the company’s Nissan Leaf as well as provide electric energy for the entire office. If you’re in the Belmont area, our charging station is free to the public. Other establishments offering electric vehicle charging stations include: Keswick Hall, Oakhurst Inn, UVA, Homewood Suites, Keith Woodard’s First and Water Parking, and First and Market Parking. Check out what the C-VILLE says about going all “green,” no gasoline in Charlottesville. It’s now possible to drive around town with vehicles powered from the sun; that’s nothing to make light of!
