The IIHS Media Center is a media studio within a research facility. The organization tests new, never-before driven cars for safety results. It was built to help create podcasts and videos about the tests that were conducted. At the facility, they crash and rate new cars that they buy themselves, instead of a company sending them their own cars. This allows the organization to be independent and uninfluenced by outside corporations. Their tests are done in a controlled environment that resembles a small town with “buildings” and a park. IIHS Media Center wanted to create the facility to broadcast their results and ratings.
