Martin Horn’s 40th Anniversary Celebration

To celebrate forty years in business, Martin Horn hosted both an Open House at their office on Friday, May 31st and a dinner party at Prime 109 in downtown Charlottesville on Saturday, June 1st. In preparation for the event, Martin Horn worked with filmmaker Betsy Cox of Red Spark Films to created the following video, commemorating the forty years of building both the Central Virginia community and a successful company known for its values.

Open House Party

Guests were welcomed into their office space which had been supplemented with an event tent. The training room had been transformed to host a “Selfie Construction Zone” for guests to take photos and a memorabilia table for guests to view, showcasing artifacts from the original days at Martin Horn to the current, placed in chronological order. The memorabilia table also showed the faces that make up Martin Horn, both then and now. Each current employee was placed on the table approximately where in the timeline they first started at Martin Horn. As guest meandered through the office, they looked through hundreds of photos of completed work over the last forty years, sipped local wine and beer and feasted on delicious hors d’oeuvres catered by C&O Restaurant.

Dinner Party Celebration

Upon entering the former historic bank, now a premier steak house eatery–guests were greeted with a champagne flute and the marvelous view of renovation Martin Horn completed in 2019. After cocktail hour, the intimate group of guests, made of employees and close friends of the family were the first to premier the 40th Anniversary film. After the film concluded, guests were seated and enjoyed a one-of-a-kind evening, filled with delicious cuisine, wine, fond memories and stories captured over the last four decades of the Martin Horn legacy. The evening celebrated the men who founded Martin Horn:  Jack Horn and the late Warren Martin. Their legacy of doing things right and treating people fairly still lives on today and is a major cornerstone of the business.
