Focusing on The Point

The Point Church first began in 2009 and operated out of Monticello High School’s auditorium. Over the last decade, the congregation has grown immensely, leading to a need for a new home. Martin Horn has been contracted to build their new 30,000 SF space, designed by Blue Ridge Architects. The 3-story building will include an auditorium, playground, and office space. Additionally, Ellis Pro Media is installing a robust, theatrical sound and lighting system. The building will have ADA compliant access and features such as a wheelchair lift to the stage.

It’s been really gratifying to play a small role in the preconstruction efforts for The Point. Members of the steering committee are devoted to being good financial stewards for the church. We helped them carefully explore their options for building materials, system selections, and finishes. We aim to help our customers make well-informed decisions throughout the building process. – Brad Nichols, Director of Preconstruction Services

Currently, we are working on cast-in-place, concrete retaining walls which will be the base for the building. We are on track to complete the project in April of 2020. – Jeff Sims, Project Manager
