We Build: Community

Community commitment is a core value at Martin Horn. We feel fortunate to own and operate a business in the Charlottesville community. All of our principals are lifelong residents of Charlottesville and we actively seek ways to give back. We serve on the boards of numerous community organizations, and we actively encourage our managers and employees to become involved, and we support local charity events and fundraisers through participation and donation.

Martin Horn is involved with the Building Goodness Foundation, a nonprofit that brings construction professionals with vulnerable communities at home and abroad. We became a licensed General Contractor in the State of Mississippi so we could donate our services to Building Goodness as the General Contractor for the new Community Center in Pearlington, Mississippi. We donate our resources to Building Goodness in April which takes on short-term construction and renovation projects in partnership with the University of Virginia, serving people living in poverty right in the city of Charlottesville.

At Martin Horn, the health and safety of our partners, team members, and community always comes first. It is this belief that continues to guide our actions, as we navigate the quickly evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Martin Horn is closely monitoring guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and other government (federal and local) entities in real-time to inform operational decisions that safeguard the well-being of our partners and team members, alike.
