Carlton Housing Experiencing Big Changes!

In total, 35 apartment units at Carlton Neighborhood Housing are undergoing a big make over! The universally designed spaces were developed by Community Services Housing Inc. and Virginia Housing Development Authority (VHDA). Once the residents were relocated, Martin Horn began the necessary steps of demolishing each interior space and addressing any deficiencies.

Currently, we are on schedule with the first phase of this project. The Buildings at 1308 and 1310 Carlton Avenue are coming along nicely! Both buildings have a new roof, new doors and will have new exterior siding very soon.

Multiple factors attributed to the need to rehabilitate these units. Many of which include new energy efficiency opportunities, age and standard wear and tear. These units should be complete by the end of the year, at which point we will move on to 1210 and 1200 Carlton Avenue.
