Cost: $2.2 million Completion: December 1995 York Place was the first major mixed-use project on the Downtown Mall. We put a concrete slab on top of the old Rose's Store and added two stories of apartments above-among the first on the Mall. The space below was converted to accommodate multiple retail and commercial clients. Martin Horn worked closely with the owner to prepare a preliminary budget, value engineer the cost, and build the project under a cost plus a fixed fee with GMP contract.
