After conducting a national
search for a contractor, The Thomas Jefferson Memorial Foundation chose Martin Horn
to build Jefferson Library, the first freestanding presidential library dedicated to a founding
father. Our preconstruction services were crucial to the project's success. We
worked with the Foundation to establish budgets and schedules at the start, and
helped to maintain them throughout the design process.
In keeping with
the architecture of Thomas Jefferson, the elegant building has a beautifully finished
interior. Martin Horn also oversaw the installation of a sophisticated geo-thermal
HVAC system that maintains precise levels of heat and humidity to preserve the
library's books and manuscripts.
