Cost:
$3.1 million Completion: May 2002
When the University of Virginia
decided to build a baseball stadium, they presented Martin Horn with two challenges:
the budget could not exceed $5 million and the job had to be completed in eight
months from design start. Martin Horn served as Construction Manager-at Risk,
contracting directly with the subs and working closely with the architect to stay
on schedule and budget. It was the only way to get the job done for opening day.
Despite the tight budget and time frame, the University got an outstanding facility. |
