UVa's Klöckner Stadium is one of the finest
college soccer and lacrosse facilities in the
nation. It was a unique job: the field is surrounded
by a series of white concrete columns, reminiscent
of the University's classical architecture, which
rise and fall in height to conform to the surrounding
landscape. Martin Horn was the only contractor
bidding the job who was able to construct this
signature architectural feature within the University's
budget. The stadium forms part of a beautiful
complex with Davenport Field, the baseball stadium,
also constructed by Martin Horn.
