UVA MRI Addition

This project included RF shielding, a sophisticated MEP package, and specialized casework for the MRI area. All casework in the MRI room had to include stainless steel components rather than ferrous metal, so the components wouldn’t be drawn into the magnet. Midway through the project, the University was able to upgrade their MRI to a newer machine, and because it arrived at the end of the project, Martin Horn had to essentially peel back the walls and install it from the back of the building.
